Stop in and say hi, I'll be there, and my tent will have the BC steelheaders logo on it. Bets time to say howdy and not be in the way would be anytime friday afternoon, and before 10:30 am on sat, or after 1:30 sat. Turn in times are tough time for me to chat, so at least you know. Good luck I realy enjoy your posts. Do you the competition in pentwater in the fall? The only contest I have seen is the apple festival in pentwater but it seems to be a pretty big deal.

Yes, Last year I helped on another team in Mears. It is called the Apple and BBQ cook-off festival. right across from the state park on silver lake. Lotsa fun and some of the states very best BBQ teams.There is also a "backyard" division that cooks ribs, or wings or both.

I don't have any stories to tell about M-S folks visiting our cook area, but the ones that did before the rain, got plenty to eat.

The ribbon was 2nd place for brisket. Real tough event thanks to the weather at the end. We finished 6th place overall, so not too bad for our limited resources and experience!
