Upper River report-Pics

Fished the upper thur, fri and sat mornings. What a three day run, thursday we get out, the day after the rain and wind for three days, and we do good with 11 fish. Nice surprise after the weather. 40+ boats the "SPOT" on thursday spoke of things to come. Fish friday, same place, move up and down the drift and find fish all over. 3 boats in my crew, 37 fish before 1pm. All size fish but really cool was alot of small fish. Maybe we had a good recruitment year in 2007-2008???

By saturday the word was out about the spot and pandemoniuim broke loose. Lots of boats around and only a few fish. Only fished until 10am today and only got 1 at the spot. The amount of fishing boat traffic blew my mind today.

Water clarity changed hourly. A few pics from fishing the river....I don't the know the guys in the first pic, someone may, they are river regulars, just thought it made a cool pic..

great post looks like you had a great time we were one of the boats at "the spot" picked up one walleye and two muskie saw only 5 eyes and 4 muskie caught, great pics also congrats on a few days of good fishing

Great post and great pictures Andy!! Nice to see you out there as usual!! Pulled a nice limit yesterday but had to work for them!! Heading out again in about a hr.

we fished it sat. evening . the fish were stacked in there in 34 fow but not biting. I managed 2 and farmed 5. lots of short strikes.Not my best effort. The fish shut down until dusk.then they turned on for a while. Best area was from mid way across peach down to marker 113. handliners doing squat but tore them up friday.. Fish are a bit smaller this season. rtj jig with a minnow and/or a Wyndotte worm on it. Saw someone get a bunch on wonderbread and white plastic.
