to all you bowhunters!!!
i've had my new bow for a few years and want to change some of the accessories on it. the two things that i want to change are my rest and i have to get a new stabilizer. on my rest i'm having problems with the shrink tubing wearing down really fast and when i pull back my arrow grinds against my rest and it makes me mad. i drew on quite a few deer this year and none of them heard it but i can hear it and it annoys me. i just gave my best friend my old stabilizer because he wanted one and i've been looking to update on one anyway. i've been thinking about either a doinker or a tranquilizer by golden key. which of these would you recommend and would you suggest any others??
another thing that i've noticed is my quiver doesn't fit snuggly into the slot and can move around... which is making noise. any suggestions for curing this?
thanks for any suggestions that you might have!
Moe

Hey Moe, I use the insulation from a 10gu atomotive wire on my rests and it works a long time!!! When I get on stand I take my quiver off so I don't worry about it. As far as the stablizer....I need one too!!! Let me know which one you get!!

Moe, I bought a Doinker for my bow last year and I think it’s a quality product so that would be my vote for a stabilizer.
It seems a lot of guys on this site are also struggling with the rest question because of noise like you are. I plan on trying the Silent Solution before next year but I’m keeping my TM hunter just in case. See the post about product review silent solution.
If you shoot with your quiver attached to your bow I would get one that bolts directly to the riser and doesn’t slide into another piece attached to the riser. I know a lot of guys use the Kwikie quiver but you couldn’t pay me enough to put one on my bow, very noisy. I have a Mathews quiver and it is rock solid and most of the other companies make similar quivers nowadays. I use to have a PSE quiver that also sled into a bracket and then you tightened a screw, I thought it was quiet until I got the Mathews quiver and what a difference it makes.

As you all know I recommend the Silent Solution for silent draws. Yes it does have more moving parts and it is a little harder to tune than some other rests, but all in all I think it's the best out there. Moving this post to Whitetail forum, as most bows are used to take whitetail deer in this state.
