anyone have a pair of these boots? My brother bought a pair and they seem like they will fit the bill. I want to use them for bow hunting in mostly October. My feet get cold easily and 3 hours in 40 deg with wool socks and rubber boots gets my feet just to the point of making me pack it in. I don’t want them too hot and I am concerned about sent. I am asking if anyone uses these boots or something like them during act or early Nov for bow hunting.

I just bought a pair at Cabela's and wore them muzzleloading over the weekend. For me, the are heavy duty cold weather boots mainly for stand hunting. They are pretty bulky and with 1000 grams of thinsulate are too hot for walking very far.

I have a pair of worn out Rocky Bear Claws that are really good for everything but long stand hunting sessions in temps below 40 degrees, thats what I bought the Blizzard Stalkers for.

I did a bunch of "boot research" last winter while searching for the ultimate ice-fishing boot.

One that I looked at was the Blizzard Stalker. Different boots are rated and designed depending on the 'user activity level'. Like mparks mentioned, the Blizzards are designed for maximum warmth in severe temps with low activity.

Probably would be too warm for October hunting.
