I'm in the market for one and wondered if anyone has experience with them?

If you're looking for just outdoor storage in the yard, get a scrap of Tyvek from any local building site. FREE !

Nope, not for the backyard, it's for covering the canoe while it's on top of my truck.

What kind of canoe is it? The reason I ask is Most are carried upside down. If its wood or cedar cover it. All others wouldn't need it.

This is my truck set up. I need to keep a cover on for extended periods of time and the canoe will be on that truck for extended periods. Just looking for input.

WILDCATWICK,
Check out [url]WWW.waterworkscanoe.com.There is a lady on there called the bag lady and she can make you a good looking cover.I think the are around 150.00.We use them on our race canoes to stop fading and protect from the heat.Good quality covers.

I saw her site the other day. Can you drive with it on? If so could one still use a foam pad on the gunwales?

Yes and yes,you just tell her what kind of boat you got and it will fit over it like a glove. It usually has a draw string on the stern and in the middle of the boat.Never had one even close to flying off while driving.Really dont think you would be dissappointed what-so-ever.

They are more common for ultralight racing canoes. It reads as though the bag lady has you covered.;)
