I have a 17.5 Lund prov.Can I use a short shaft for a kicker?

Measure the top of transom to the bottom of the hull where you would mount it.

You will have to use a long shaft, unless it is mounted on a trolling motor bracket where you can adjust how low you swing the motor into the water.

instead of going longshaft... you can get an electric motor mount that raises and lowers your motor. when your running at speed its lifted clear of the water. when trolling the push of a button lowers it into the water.
