My neighbor has an old flatbottom that he has not used in years. I asked him if he would want to sell it. He said to make him an offer. I do not the make. It's like a 2048 or maybe even a 2248. It is huge. It's sittting on a home made trailer. Anyone have any ideas to what it's worth? I don't want to low ball him or offer to much. I'm just at a loss to what this is worth.

Hit the net if your really concerned. That boat New is over $1000.00 but used in this ecconomy I would be low balling everything.

offer him a couple hundred. if he no longer uses it it might be plenty. or he may make a counter offer. you haven't lost anything.

Take a closer look at it and get some info on it. Maybe you'll find out why he does'nt use it anymore.

Sounds like we are talking aluminum so the condition has a great deal to do with it, not how pretty really but things like lose rivets, transom and the like

I'm not sure. I'm going to measure it this weekend. it might be wider then 48 but, it doen't look like it. It might be an optical ollision because of it's length. I get a pic or two.
