Catfish

Does anyone know if it would be good fishing for catfish right now??? I know it's been cold and the water temps are cold, but I do not if that will affect the bite.

I am looking at a small pond/lake and a couple rivers. If anyone can let me know if it is worth my time it would be greatly appreciated!

i fish for cats mostly up in lake huron so not sure about catching them in smaller lakes or ponds,,, they do have to eat though.
as to it being worth your time? well,,, its been said that god doesn't subtract time spent fishing from your life. and anyway,, it will still be fun.

john warren..thanks for the encouragement, my little brother picked up this nice little cat on the Grand tonight! i guess they are biting...

nothing huge, but it was a keeper size!

thanks for the article wishbone, havent gotten a chance to read it (just got back a little bit ago from fishing, and am pretty tired). but i appreciate it, and maybe with some ideas from that, we'll catch a few more.

i catch them in spring on my lake
is nice on hot summer nights and tigers playing west coast and catch cats from 10- 2am

Catfish can be caught almost anytime of year depending on the body of water where you are fishing for them and how large or small the populations are.
I fish some local rivers for steel and use spawn but always seem to catch catfish instead:rolleyes::lol:
