Need to run the transducer wire from the transom forward to the console. Doesn't look like it will be as easy as I thought. There was a wire I though i could cut and use to pull it thru... but it turns out I need that wire! So now I'm at a loss as to how to run the ducer wire from the transom forward to the console.

If it comes down to it and you have no other way, you could cut the wire attach the transom wire and an extra wire pull them thru, then use the extra wire to pull the wire you cut back thru and reconnect. I havent any clue what your dealing with so thats the best i can offer you :)

the wire you already have and need , can it be cut as mentioned and replaced after the wire run, what does that wire do?

Can you use a snake to run you transducer wire, post pictures maybe someone will have a better idea

What are you running the wire through? When I was rewiring an atv trailer I used a vacuum to suck fishing line through the conduit. The fishing line was attached to the wire and used to pull it through. You may have to tie a piece of cloth to the fishing line so the vac can suck it through. Again don't know your situation but it helped on my trailer!

Use a heavy-duty tape measure...I think it's easiest to run the tape measure to the transom, tape the cord to the tape measure, and pull the cord back to you. Did it that way last year and had no problem.

Make sure when you tape the cord to the tape you do it in a way to cover the "L" part of the tape...that's the only part of the tape that will get caught on other wires;)

Well, on the suggestion of a buddy on another site... I stopped by Harbor Freight. Got me a wire fish for $6!!! This should do the job. And... if anyone ever needs to borrow it... let me know!!

A piece of old garden hose and some tape will also do the job.
