Lake St. Clair Muskies Inc is having its big spring meeting at 6:30 PM, Thursday April 16 at the Sports Channel / Harbor Lanes on Jefferson about 2 blocks north of 10 Mile, in St. Clair Shores.
Members and non-members are welcome, especially youngsters and people who are new to or want to get into musky fishing. For those who may wish to become members, membership in Muskies Inc. is only $25 per year ($35 with monthly Muskie magazine included).
This meeting will include:
Local bait makers and vendors on hand with some of the finest musky and pike lures that have caught many big toothy critters on Lake St. Clair.
Lure swap and “garage sale”: bring any tackle, lures, fishing, and boating related items you wish to trade or sell, not necessarily musky stuff. I plan to bring an excellent almost new 8’6” Wright and McGill salmon/steelhead rod and other goodies.
Muskies 101 table with tackle setups, demonstrations, information, and Q&A to help the new musky fisher be prepared for the unique challenges of Lake St. Clair musky fishing and catch lots of big toothy critters wherever there are muskies and big pike. With all the bait makers and vendors on hand, you can also get together a good basic lure selection and some tackle together as well.
50/50 raffle to fund upcoming LCMI events and member benefits.
LSCMI has many other events coming up, including its 1st annual season opener tournament, our 2nd annual Kids Fishing Day (last year was a great time for all), and a July “meeting” on the lake, actually fishing for muskies!
Feel free to PM me or contact chapter president Joe Lockemy at j_lockemy@yahoo.com (http://us.mc820.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?to=j_lockemy@yahoo.com) or any of our directors, whose contact info can be found on our web site at http://www.lscmi.com (http://www.lscmi.com/) .
Muskies Inc. is an international organization for the betterment of musky fishing and conservation, with chapters throughout the US and Canada, and possibly soon in Sweden! Visit http://www.muskiesinc.org (http://www.muskiesinc.org/) for more info.
