I want to be able to have my 10' jon boat upright in my truck bed loaded up and be able to slide it out and transport it with my fishing gear in it without having to drag it across the ground. Does anyone know of any way to do this with some sort of wheels or something. I drag it now but it's a pain and can't be good for the boat.

One of my buddies uses a sturdy garden cart to transport his little rowboat/motor. Takes two people to balance it, but the right.

Check out the simple 2-wheeled carts that some use for canoe portages.

Here's some DIY ideas:

I would think a two wheeled hand cart would work fine for this.

I have built wheels for mine in the past and I am getting ready to build a new set for the 12' jon boat I bought last year. At Harbor Freight you can get small pneumatic wheels for 5 bucks each. 2 ways to build this dolly. First and easiest if you have no access to tools is to buy (this is from memory) 1" square metal stock and fit a 3/4" threaded rod into it. You then mount the wheels to the 3/4" threaded rod and the square tube help stiffen it and give you something to hook a strap on the hold the boat the the axel you just built. You can then move your boat around much like a wheelbarrow. the other way that I am going to do it to cut a piece of sturdy angle iron to fit the width of your boat and then weld 3/4" round stock to the ends and then mount the wheels onto that with washers and a cotter key. I will probably weld an I bolt on each side to attach the strap to. Hope this helps and by all means if this does not make sense let me know and I will try to give a better explanation or post a pic when I complete mine.
