The real "X-factor" was the Spartans' depth and bench play. Notice how they hung about even and then pulled away in the later going when the "fresh legs" were key.

If UNC wins, expect a very different game against a healthy Sparty.

Well, I hope they enjoy this victory a lot.

Man, UNC looked awesome.

UNC has looked like pros against everyone they have played thus far. I can't remember a team so dominant in the tournament since Bobby Knight's Indiana team that shellacked UM in the final about 1976 or so.

MSU will have to bring the tempo to a frenetic pace, cause chaos, ballhawk like demons, and make lots of substitutions to keep fresh legs on the court, give fouls so UNC has to work like mad for everything, yet stay out of foul trouble, get UNC out of their game, and hopefully wear them down, as they did Louisville and UConn.

And they must not let UNC get out to a double-digit lead in the first 10 minutes, as UNC's last several vicitms did.

If MSU's within a few points at half without Suton in foul trouble, they could well pull this off.

It's a tall order, but if anyone can come up with a game plan, it's Izzo.

What the spartans have done so far is awesome. If they win monday they will have done the unthinkable...beat three no. 1 teams ! If anybody can come up with a gameplan for UNC it would be Izzo. Wow, what a script we have here....go MSU !

Not sure if Lucas or Walton will cover Lawson, but if Sparty can survive with Lucas covering Ellington, that will give Walton the chance to lock down Lawson. My biggest concern is how whistle happy the refs will be. Hansborough already gets every call, and since the whistles become more frequent every round of the tournament, (it's a fact), that scares me a little.

You do realize that in the 2nd half of the louisville game msu had 10 fouls on them before louisville had like 3. and still dominated. dont be scared of the whistles. be concerned with tempo, they must play msu's game...thats the key.

Oh well, it's been a good run. UNC is just an awesome team, gotta give credit where it is due. Best team I've seen in college hoops in a very long time.

They are top shelf for sure. Hopefully most of their team will move on next year and even up things. State is really doing themselves in. They are moving too fast as they fall further behind and have zero rythme at this point. Sure would like to see them get it closer to gain some national respect. Here we go.
