Went to Gun this a.m. and braved the wind. Ended up with 15 specks and perch with the specks running around 11". Perch were all spawned out with the specks still with eggs.

good to here you got some eaters, i also went out this afternoon to a small lake by gun lake and it was really windy, i fished for 2 hours with not even a bite.Then i went to another lake on the way home and did good, i used jig heads with a plastics grub, i bet you used minners ?

Hey SpecialK, you didn't happen to drive down Yankee Springs RD by chance? According to their website the road is closed into the day use and campground areas due to "frost upheveal". I was planning to stay there a few days next week and was hoping for some first hand info. Thanks!!

I drove through last Friday. I went to check out the boat ramp to see how tough it might be to launch without the ramps in (I'd phoned the park in the morning and was told they did not have them in yet, and had no idea when they would).

Well, it turns out the person on the phone was wrong and the ramps were actually in already at the campsite and the main launch.

There were sections of the roads taped off / non-access, but, they were repairing them in the camp area while I was there, and, you could still access regardlesss. There was one person campling.
