I'm used to throwing spinners for coldwater fish, but have never tried much for warmwater species. What colors/sizes do you guys use? I'd like to try for some smallies or panfish on some of the rivers and lakes over here in the N.W.Thanks

I like 1/8 oz rooster tails in brown with a gold spinner. I have caught so many on those I have probably 5 I can not use any more because the wire is bent on them.

I like white beetle spins, about any fish will bite on them, pike, bass, crappie, gills

One of my favorite baits I use just about every where is the Mepps Ultra Light series. They are the smallest mepps spinners available with a size 00 blade and weighing only 1/18oz. Believe it or not these small spinners take some BIG fish, in fact my biggest largemouth was caught on a silver one while bluegill fishing and that fish weighed over 8lbs. I've also got many nice smallmouth, and panfish when using this bait. It's defiantly not just a trout bait but it does kill the stream trout ;)

I like keeping it simple and using a plain single hook with all of my spinners. My favorite colors are silver, gold, copper and black fury-White(with a plain single hook) I also like the size 0 mepps with a single hook that's blue platinum colored

For perch, Largemouth Bass, Crappie - Mepps Agila No. 2 or 3 with a silver spinner

For Walleye same as above but use a gold spinner

For Pike same as above but with a bucktail on it.

1/16 white rooster tail is always the first thing I throw in a new place. I've caught everything from trout to catfish on those. Defiantly will catch crappie and smallies. Try hopping one around rocks.

Cool, Thanks. We make our own, I just wanted to see what sizes and colors would work best. I'll have to give it a try soon, do some field testing ;). Actually we are a sponsor here, if you guys want to check out our stuff it's at www.wyldedge.com (http://www.wyldedge.com)

We like to use the single hooks for trout too.
