I can't take it anymore. I'm looking for a lake somewhere in Ohio that offers decent bass fishing and doesn't have any motor restrictions. I was going to just visit a lake close to home to just get accustomed to my new rig, but I just can't be on a boat without a rod in my hand, so I've decided to make it a road trip. I know I could just go to Erie and fish the Ohio waters, but I'd like to be more familiar with my boat before venturing out on the big water. Basically, anything 6 hours or less from Detroit would be feasible. All suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.

Yeah, I don't know why I always feel like Indiana is so freaking far away. Those lakes close to Angola look like the best possibility since I could even get back for the MSU game. Right now I'm leaning towards Big Turkey Lake, Crooked Lake, and Hamilton Lake. From what little research I've done, each body of water doesn't have a motor restriction which is the biggest key at this time. I guess whether or not they have any bass would be next on my list. Anybody been to any of these?
