Hows the ice up there? Thinking about last ice perch fishing?

I heard last week they were still driving out.

The shore is shot in some spots. Its fine when you get out there. Stay from the docks and points on your atv or sled.

Are they catching any fish?:fish: I'll be driving 250mi! Should I wait a few weeks for the ice to leave and make the drive up there with the boat? A little help from the locals please.. Thanks in advance.

With the upcoming forecast, and everything I've heard, I'd say 3 weeks to be safer.

Just went for a ride and talked with DNR Bill, and they are catching fish off the SE end. One came off the ice last night with 34 pearch. There is ice but not at the parking lot, I guess you park there and walk a few driveways and there is a vacant lot to access.

I thought after the parking lot was a big money home owner assoc where we mortals could not go.

That's it,, after the parking lot in the forbidden land, DNR bill the fish counter said there is two access one is a couple of driveways down the road and the other is all the way down that road. The ice at the bottom of the hill by the parking lot is bad.
