Do you change your leader length and position on your shank with spoon's?

I don't change length, but I might shift the leaders down one.

Spoons have so little diving action or drop that hanging the leader length will not matter. Lowering where the leader attaches to the shank is more important.
But, drop the leaders down to much and you might drop the spoon right out of the feeding zone.

I'll run my spoons anywhere from 1 ft. to 20" lower than my Rapalas! The leads stay the same!;)

I always run my spoons on the bottom shank loop with half the length of my upper leader. Example 40' with a body bait & 20' with spoon. Leader line weight is also very impotant, ligth as possible. I use 6lb & 10lb test for spoons.
Good luck.:D
