What line and # would you guys recommend for trolling small planer boards without a mast:confused:

10# will get it done. Choose your favorite brand. For walleye I will be running mine with 10# clear XT.

yes those work great with all line lb ...i even have the mini and use 4-6 lb
i use super braid for walleye and salmon and a swivel for mono leader
reason being that the vibration of lure is felt better when i make a sweep with rod and can tell if no vibration with planer on i have a weed or sm fish on and dont want it skying and twisting
and i crank down on line tensioner so planer doesnt release false and if it does the swivel will stop the planer before it gets to lure and knock off fish !

I use 10# Berkley Big Game for walleye on my board rods... Its great line, ive been using it for years...and its economical. It holds up real well when fishing with boards. I also use Big Game for Salmon fishing, i just jump it up to 20#.
