first time to the clinton questions

Going tomorrow with a friend (nimrod04) and just wondering what to take other than waxies, flies, spawn. If not wanting to get to specfic pm me. is this more of a Bobber or a drift like manistee or ausable? Thanks for any info. The info i got from this site helped me land my first ever steelhead and has been a tremendous help.

it all depends on where you fish, and who you talked to.

but most people i saw use either spawn (w/ or w/o bobber) or spinners.

If you can fish northern streams for steelies you should have no problem in the clinton, same technics works ;)

trick is to use just enough weight to tick the bottom once in a while...and this varies by hole...you only want to be loosely in touch with the bottom....and when your line gets hung up ..gently pull it...


there are a million snags there....try spawn...size 10 egg hook..

avoid spinners unless you want to empty your tackle box.....

we went 0-2 my buddy did have a hit on a spinner at flat rock and i had a fish on below yates but never go to see either fish lots of eyes in the huron and saw a few BIG shad caught didn't know we had that big of shad in mi, that was on tuesday
