Stay off the lake. I was told they just rescued 6 people off the ice from out by the island by airboat. It's time to put up the ice equipment and tune up the boat. My opinion... a few fish aren't worth it. Granted you might find a way out to fish right now but what about getting back a few hours later? I was wading out last week to get to good ice up by Big Creek. There will always be next winter and open water fishing from a boat isn't bad on Higgins either.
