Mark,

Was out in the gold Ranger this morning and also got zippo. Nice to be out though even though it was a bit chilly. I might have seen one caught couldn't tell for sure. Water temp showed 34 so maybe a tad early. Won't be long though! First post for this lurker but won't be my last. Great site with lots of good info.

Good luck to everyone this Spring!

John

I got 2 9" perch :woohoo1: I could only stand it for a couple hours wind was crazy in Lexington. There was about 5 boats launched there, i thought to myself those are some brave old souls battling that wind on the big lake.

Nothing on the river in Algonac. Too cold for me. Called it quits early.

Lighter weight in Algonac Mark. I'd probably spend my time casting it.;)

I dragged spoons downstream and cranks upstream in the SCR around the power plant Friday, with only one hit. Great weather, but the fish weren't joining the party. Didn't see any of the other anglers catch anything either.

But man, the evening was beautiful. Went dead calm for a bit, and the river was almost like a sheet of glass while I put-putted back to the launch site, until the wind kicked up a bit and chased me off the river.

Saturday I drove off the scent of skunk with a fat 27 inch carp at the carp-in on Lake Erie Metropark. Bloody chilly, with that 20-30mph E wind, but a good time nonetheless, and fish were being caught...:fish2:
