Anyone doing any good out there? I fished from shore Tues. in Zemmer Park where the river hits the no wake area, was there a couple hours and caught 1 Cat only seen 1 other cat caught. Tried tonight by the Mt. Morris bridge towards the point my brother caught a 25" Pike while we were there a couple hits and that was it. Seen a couple boaters there not sure how they put in with the water so low, might be able to launch at Zemmer Park but i won't risk that deep sand.

Hello I'm new to the area trying to make the transition from gulf coast fishing to freshwater fishing. Launched the boat today at Mott Lake, not a bad lake I just wanted to get the boat in the water I'm gonna fish there next week, any tips? I plan on doing most of my fishing in the St Clair river or LSC

jason Mott lake has a little of everything walleye, pike, bass, pan fish. For walleye I trol with body baits or crawler harness's, you can also work the shore useing jigs or casting lures just like bass fishing. For bass fishing you need to ask someone else I dont bass fish, pan fishing is done just like anywhere else. good luck

Welcome to the site all you guys.

Mott also had Musky in it back in the 70's,

Jason: You'll like LSC & SCR.... SCR is the only place I fish. I do the night fishing, whipping mostly in the Marysville area..........Bob B.

There still is a few big musky in there, I hear about one being caught every few years, The fishing in Mott is pretty good, but after mid summer when the water temps get up over 75 it becomes a nasty E-coli swamp. They have closed Bluebell beach every year for the past 5 to 10 years that I know of because of the E-coli levels, You can still catch fish but I would not let the water touch your skin if you have any cuts or anything. and damsure dont rub your eyes after gettin your hands wet. Just Nasty

I was out on Holloway yesterday. We launched from Walleye-Pike boat launch with no problems at all. Fished for crappie in a few areas, but all we caught was one small walleye.

swimnfish04: Is the water level still down out there? Nicked my brand new prop up last year making sure the boat ran good before hitting the SCR. Thinking about maybe trying to figure out how to fish the res. this year.

jason w: You will like Marysville there is a nice deep ramp if you have a boat and there is a good wall to fish from if you don't.

WillyG: I wish they would've made Mott a deeper lake so it didn't have the E-coli problem as well as being a no wake lake. I fished there many years ago (late 70's) and caught some nice Crappies (12") in that little cove to the right of the boat ramp as your looking out into the lake. The picture in my avatar was taken at the ramp in Mott. I would fish it more if it were deeper and wasn't a no wake lake. 2 miles is a lot better than 77. I remember when they started filling the lake in 1972 after they finished the dam.
Grew up Walleye fishing SCR. Been fishing St. Clair River for about 46 years.
