I haven't attempted to launch on Gilletts Lake because I know the depth is less than 5' for the majority of the lake. Does anyone see any problems with getting this boat on the lake:

Specs say 12" to float/30" with drive down. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

no problem ! ......as long as you know the lake
had a 18-20 ft glass out .....only broke prop once !
stay to the right !and dont let 20 ft hole by launch fool you !keep prop up till you hit
the beach !
unless you have stainless prop ! as my bass boat is 17 ft 115 horse glass and i blow by but im drafting shallower !

I don't "know" the lake but I have the Sportman's Connection CD which has a lake map of Gilletts. I see what you mean by the small 20' hole by the launch. Are there any stumps I need to look out for in the shallows?
My prop is already pretty messed up (aluminum), I was supposed to get it reconditioned over the winter but never did. I'll probably just put the drive down far enough for propulsion and idle around the lake a few times to get a feel for it. I'm hoping to get out there next week. :fish:
