Going to blazer vanes this year, has anyone tried the quick spin blazer vanes, the ones that come complete you just slide it over your arrow and dip in hot water? I think they are the quick spin ones. thanks

My experience with vanes....

2" quickspins (which i think is what you meant by quickspin blazers?) are incredibly loud. I get annoyed just shooting them, but they do tighten groups a bit.

2" blazers fly pretty well and speed up an arrow about 3-5 fps is all. Sometimes at 50 yards I start to notice my arrow wobbling, but that could just as easily be my release.

duravanes in general (haven't shot any new ones of theres)- they are exactly what you pay for- mediocre in everyway.

Anything that is convenient to put on an arrow is convenient for a reason- its cheap. By a nice jig and put vanes on the right way. With the shrink wrap stuff, once you lose one vane, the whole deal is a mess. By the way, if you pass any kind of quickspin through a target be prepared to have a vane as wrinkled as an old man's ball sack.

You've mentioned 3 different vanes actually.
Blazers are made by Bohning.
Quick Spins are NAP.
NAP also makes the Quick fletch...what I think you're looking for.

The Blazers are cool...but some don't stick to anything.
The Quickspins are nice and they work...but they're expensive.
The Quick Fletch I've never used but the ones I've seen attached looked a little janky IMO.

The Fusions are the new "Hot" vane;)
I haven't used these yet but have half a dozen being made that I'll try on Thursday.

I just had a show this weekend and the number one (or two) question was what vane do I use. The answer is the Fusion, they stick. When I fletched the first shafts I tried to pull them off and tore a part off and still didn't get it to come off. I am now putting them on the crossbow bolts, and they are flying perfect. The foot is very soft and fits around the shaft making my job easier.

Buy a Bitz. jig you'll be able to repair your old arrows, and try new fletchings when you want to.

I'd have to disagree with a few things I've read here and agree with a few others..
#1- Duravanes are anything but mediocre. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find a more versatile vane with the price and quality of the Duravane.
#2- Quickspins are loud and will not tighten up your groups if you already have tuned equipment. In fqact chances are your groups will drop a fe3w inches at as short a distance as 20 yds.
#3 Blazers do work great IF you get them to stick which is not guaranteed 100% of the time. They have improved their design and now adhere 100x better than they used to.
#4 Fusions are indeed the Hot new vane but the Norway Predators (another product from the makers of Duravane) are very nice in their own right.

I've tried every one of the above except for the Fusion and of them all, I actually prefer the Norway products -Duravane and Predators.
