If you are needing an ohio license, there is a place before the ohio border off of I-75, I-75 south take summit exit, exit before ohio border, place is fishermans cave on the left side of the street by bi-state marine. Its about 1/2 mile down after you get off the exit.

Or you can purchase it on-line. That way if you lose it you can print up a new one, or print up a bunch and laminate them and put one in every tacklebox. Capnhook

Meumee Tackle has them but it's 30 minutes wait for us at Sat morning. it's neck to neck in there. so it's best if you can find somewhere with lighter crowd. and M. Tackle only take cash for the Ohio license, btw.

Just bought mine online. $11.33 and it took 3 minutes. Printed on my printer and now in my wallet!
I'm out the door!

then put it in my wallet and somehow lost it. Is there anyway to recover it online? I asked the "lovely" folks at Maumee takle and they said it has to be in the system for over 24 hours and its a 3 dollar fee and also I had to drive back over the boarder to get another one.
Thanks,
JJ

I wished I had pick a different place to buy the license, beside the 30-min wait, they only take cash for the license, I almost empty my wallet for that one.

if online doesn't work, i bet you can 1-800-945-3543 to find out. Ohio Division of Wildlife (this info came off from the back of the license). $3 for replacement, btw.

Seemed like the guy incharge of that bait shop is nice enough but some of the wokers had attidudes made me feel like not going back. Times are hard now days and everyone needs to give it there all to make business, even if you work at a baitstore that gets busiy durring the walleye run.......its your bread and butter.

That's what I just did for Ohio and will do for Michigan. I also fold up a copy and put it in my wallet just in case.

Headed down to ohio on 4/4. I see the annual is still 40.00, is the limit still at 4 for march and april? I haven't checked the regs yet. We are going to be fishing the port clinton area.

JayJayMo, I think you will only be able to recover it on line if you purchased it on line. I've never tested this. I just print up a bunch when I purchase it. Capnhook

I have to agree that some of the people at maumee tackle need to put a smile on there face and not be so rude when asked simple questions. Theres only one walleye run a year and i cant seem them being to busy a month from now, SO get your money while you can.
(usually the girls and shops are nice, that lady is rude)

His wife is a sour puss, I've never gotten a smile from her, but Gary Lowery is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I also agree that the shop girls are friendly and helpful. These are NUTSO days in that small shop. Literally thousands of fishermen a day pass through those doors. It might get just a bit tiring after a string of 20 hr. days. Capnhook

I try to spend my money north of the state line if possible. I think that the issuing store collects a small fee from the state, and I'd like to see that go to Michiganians.
It was a pleasure to meet you last week (Tom?) And if memory serves me correctly I think sprungo and I exchanged some PM's last year about wading for walleyes at Luna Pier.
