These walleye regs are confusing a bit to me. Are minnows allowed to be used in Mott and Holloway before the 25?

"unlawful to fish with artificial baits or minnows (except that minnows may be used upstream of Hamilton St. Dam and all respective tributaries T7N, R7E, S7);"
I can't seem to find a hamilton st dam in flint or know of one off hand?
seems like it IS illegal to use minnows at mott lake this time of year. Too bad i don't know how to look up what those letters/numbers mean or where they refer to...

I know of no dam around Hamilton St. however there IS one near Harrison St.
Before anyone goes out, I suggest finding out for sure, I am going to do the same. If I do find the information, Ill be sure to post it.
Here is Hamilton St crossing the Flint River..

Gentlemen,
After placing a call to the DNR Fisheries Division and some online investigation, the Hamilton St Dam is actually the Hamilton Dam. (The second picture..the dam is north of Harrison St.)
According the fisheries division, the "St." part in the handbook is an error and will be passed onto Lansing for correction.
The "dam" is actually a footbridge connecting the U of M Flint campuses.
Hope this clears everything up! Happy Fishing!
(if anyone goes down there and kills the gills, remember who cleared everything up...hint hint..;) )
Another picture of Hamilton Dam, from the Northbank Center...

SO that means that minnows may be used in mott lake then?

Cool, that dam is right behind the State building. There are two sites in Flint for State paperwork. The other is the Mcree Building on Saginaw, I think it is what the old timers call the Montgomery Ward building. Cool! And yes after re-reading the law about minnows, Mott is UPstream...great thread to clear stuff up!

I am glad you guys got that cleared up, because I was wondering where it was legal myself. Mott is suppsed to have a few good spots in the spring for crappie, although I have not tried them yet myself. I do catch them on occasion while fishing for bass and walleye though, and they are usually decent sized when I do.

havent really found any good spots for crappies recently.... going to have to try Mott and Holloway.... untill the rest of the river opens up for minows... good thing I just got the sticker for my boat in the mail today... last year i went after crappies down behind atwood and did decent.... but cant use minows down there till after the 25th.... also when i was a kid i could get into them down the road at Mott Park Golf Course...
anyone know any spots for perch? i accidently found some in Kearsley creek while sucker fishing.... i guess they are running from kearsley resivoir in the creek to spawn.....
is there a boat launch on kearsley lake? somone told me there is one by the main parking lot for kearsley golf course.... also can the fish get past the walk way / ground bridge to the other side where the ramp and the dam are at?
and lastly does anyone know of any other lakes that hold perch in the surounding area....
