Man! The 21st first ride of the season is going on Dec 12th - Dec 15th in Hurley. Starts at 6pm Thursday night...Free beer at Horse's Corral all night starting 7pm.
Friday Red Light Snowmobile Rally Parade, 6pm, Free beer at horse's corral at 7pm.
Saturday 7pm free beer at horse's corral (broken record here, Ha!) 9pm-1am Official Red Light Rally Snow Party w/ live bands at all the saloons...
Sunday Final Day For Poker Run, 100am Bloody Mary Specials at the Iron Horse Saloon...etc...I guess don't plan on getting on the sleds after 7pm!

I would say if anyone heads this way this might be the place to stay...rooms are averaging $35...and know of a few in Ironwood for $24...

I hear ya 'bout the freshwater whales! Ha! Don't worry, they scare me! Never know if one will roll over and then you will be a dust bunny in some crack! Ha!
Hurley is the first town into Wis. from here (10 miles). The trails are all groomed to about 6 inches deep...The snow has been real light and dry so the two foot that did fall made it hard to compact...Hurley is one of the old mining towns that had a lot of cathouses...at one time they had over 80 taverns just in the town alone...maybe 15,000 population at the time. thats why they call this the Red Light Rally...
It should be a great time, but the po-po will really be out in force so it's not a good idea to sled after you hit the town...I will get some pic's posted after the weekend. I left a post for Amos on how to keep the pictures on the post without having to delete them everytime I want to add another to my gallery, maybe put them in the general gallery? Not sure...
Geez! You see the guys that freaked out when I posted about saying Seen instead of Saw?! Man I thought I was bad at first about getting on some of the people here...but man! Oh well...I sleep good at night, just a pet peeve...I did laugh at the one dude that said he was going to have his guide say seen instead of saw! Ha! Too funny...that's what this place is about, having fun...If ya can't take it, then get in the beauty parlor with the girls!
