Fletchers Again!

Paperboy and I hit the floods for what MAYBE the last outing of the season. We both got our 25 nice Gills. Paul's fish were better than mine but they we all be great on the table. Ice is still good on the lake but again use caution on the shoreline. We went out of Jacks and fished the crack again and the fish we there. The horizontal jigs seemed to be out fishing the veriticals by a big margin. Waxies and Gulp! was the bait of choice. Paulie got a couple of nice crappies and he landed a 22" Pike on 2lb. He went back in the lake but it sure looked like fun. Cold today with a nasty NW wind. This MAY be the last weekend for sane people. Good luck to all:D

If anybody still wants to ice fish...Get your gear and get to Fletcher's!!!

We had a tough ice season (Capt. Heavy and myself) and we thought we would try Fletcher's. HOLY CRUD!:eek: The locals sure kept this place quiet all season. The fishing has been GREAT. I don't how anyone who has posted on here about fishing Fletcher's did NOT do any good. 3 trips, 3 limits. Those are the fish we kept! The crappie fishing has been something else the past 2 weeks. The perch that are being caught are sometimes up to 14 inches. The sunnies and gills are FAT and wide! :) TASTY EATS!

Our jig of preference is a horizontal style with a head about the size of a BB. A #10 or #12 hook with an either green or orange small platic body on the shaft of the hook. For us...this has been deadly.

paperboy..i posted several times this winter we were getting them at fletchers u just must of missed it..lots of gills an pike early season and now crappies an perch..u can always get gills..we only had 1 trip that we got skunked i think it was last saturday
