Got out this afternoon and after checking a few spots ended up at Cotton rd. Fished from 4:00pm
to 5:30pm with only 12 small perch caught. Nothing over six inches.
There were probably 40 to 50 guys out there and I did not speak to anybody that did much better than myself.
Ice conditions were good with probably no more than 5 inches at the most. You definately need your creepers on your boots, it was really slick.
Also tried the South River Rd. access earlier in the afternoon. Only a handful of guys and did not catch or see a fish caught.
Ice conditions at South River were not as good in my opinion. Large patch of snow covered ice about 300 yards out was really thin. Spud went right thru on first tap.
Water clarity at both locations was pretty murky. Despite not tearing up the fish it sure was nice to walk on the hard water again.

Duckbuster, checked my map and could not find Conger Bay. I've heard of it and have probably been on it without knowing it. Sorry I could'nt help.

Seems to me Conger bay is located between south river rd. to huron point. Belvidere bay is just north of north river rd. South of huron point around to the beach at metro is L'anse creuse bay.

I'm pretty sure that people refer to the area between the Clinton River and Selfrige as Conger Bay. Most people call it Belvidere Bay but some locals refer to it as Conger Bay. If ESOX sees this thread, I'm sure he can verify this.

Walleye Mike, I think that area is Campau Bay.

John, I went by what my maps said. But from memory I too thought Belvidere bay was Conger bay. My two maps don't have a Campau bay.

Actualy Conger bay was the area between the river and where the big marinas end at Selfridge. Where is Paul when you need Him?

Conger bay is in fact Belvidere bay. The old timers called it Conger bay because of the street called Conger Bay Drive, that you would drive down to get to the old Jacks Bay Lounge, which later became Gar-Woods, which i now think is a bunch of fancy houses......

Sorry, this work thing kept getting in the way. Conger Bay is what people over 35  call Belvidere Bay. Campau Bay is the bay between South River Rd. and Huron Point.
