Got out this afternoon and after checking a few spots ended up at Cotton rd. Fished from 4:00pm
to 5:30pm with only 12 small perch caught. Nothing over six inches.
There were probably 40 to 50 guys out there and I did not speak to anybody that did much better than myself.
Ice conditions were good with probably no more than 5 inches at the most. You definately need your creepers on your boots, it was really slick.
Also tried the South River Rd. access earlier in the afternoon. Only a handful of guys and did not catch or see a fish caught.
Ice conditions at South River were not as good in my opinion. Large patch of snow covered ice about 300 yards out was really thin. Spud went right thru on first tap.
Water clarity at both locations was pretty murky. Despite not tearing up the fish it sure was nice to walk on the hard water again.
