Ice augers

I am buying my first gas powered ice auger this year, Can anybody give me a idea on what the better brands are and what size and HP is needed and price range. I guessing a 8" auger with a 2hp motor should work fine for here in west mich. Also any suggestions on a store that may be known for good prices and selection on augers.

Duckman; I use the 10" Lazer Mag and have been very happy with it. I think it is a 2 hp. Starts with 2 pulls every time. I like a 10" because I feel that it is easier to gaff a large walleye with a bigger hole. Blades last about one season for me- $25 replacement. My buddy is using an electric-I think it is an 8'. This is a good option especially if you use a perment shanty. Its really light as long as you have a vehicle with 12 volt power.
