Yep! I am betting that I get to take advantage of the extra hour of daylight, and call next week... "last ice".

I second that Joe,
it's not over till guys start fallin thru. Be careful.
The lake I live on here is breaking up fast today. It started with a 20 ft hole this morning. Another seem opened up later and they both grew together by mid day. Now more than half the lake is open water, we got some wind and a wind shift coming tonight. I think 3/4 will be open water by dark. It is one of the fastest I've ever see the ice go our on our lake. The rain today was brutal at times. Maybe the big water will hold a bit but be careful. It was a good ice season and she's gone now here.

Yesterday afternoon at 3:30 there were still guys on the ice by Brandenburg fishing in the rain. This morning there was no one out there. The ice I was on Saturday was still 10 inches thick, but we got way more rain on Sunday than I was expecting. The remaining ice may set up by Friday with the temps on the teens again Wednesday and Thursday.
My fingers are crossed, buty only my spud knows for sure.

My lake has alot of open water in it now. I hung it up last week when I started getting the drift boat and the steelhead gear out.
I don't want to risk going on the ice anyway. Do you know how embarassing it would be to be rescued by people you work with?
