Darton is alive and doing well. You are certainly not the only one shooting one.

I have an '07 pro3000, these new dartons are great bows! The only issue I have with the 3000 is the grip is kinda chunky, but they have improved that drastically on the 09's. As far as performance, these bows are VERY good performers. Mine shoots a 421 grain arrow 311fps, and is a very smooth shooting bow too with minimal hand shock. The draw cycle is stiff, but not terrible and it holds very well on target.

Getting my new 3500 tomorrow! I'm sure tonight will be like Christmas Eve! They just choose to take a different route and don't spend tons of money on advertising, so they aren't as popular.

All I have ever shot are Dartons. I started in 1983 with an SL-50. In the early 90's I went to a Darton 600WXR. Currently, I am still hunting with Darton Cyclone I purchased in 1999.
I still take the SL-50 out of the closet and shoot it once in awhile. My oldest son (23 in April) is shooting the 600WXR which is a really sweet bow! To refresh your memory, it had an all wood riser and laminated wood limbs!
Yeah, I like Darton....

Got my 3500 yesterday and set it up. I only got a few arrows through it yesterday, but man is it sweet! Smooth draw, smooth on th shot, and smokin fast! I need to pull my chrono out and see how fast it really is.

My first bow was also a SL-50, Great bow, many kills to prove that, now hanging on the wall at deer camp. Now the proud owner of a PSE Pro Series.

Well i am sorry that you went from a darton to a PSE. Well i hope you dont have the same prob as i did with the PSE. I will Never buy a PSE ever again. in my book they are a piece of junk. I would use one to wipe my butt with so to speak. I made the mistake of getting a non Darton and i paid the piper. So now i am wanting to sell the PSE so i can buy a real true bow. I am Darton for life. Never again will i make that mistake. I owe it that much to the deer. So if anybody want to buy the PSE just send me a pm.

Why would you sell such "junk" to someone? I think it would be more suitable to just give it away to some youth program or a neighborhood kid that''s trying to get into the sport. Hate to see you take advantage of someone by selling them poor worthless equipment.

Well the bow is still in good shape. What i mean by junk is it isnt the bow for me. But if i can't sell it then i guess that i will just put it back on the shelf and let it collect dust. or use it as a paper wieght.:lol: or turn it into a carp bow. But i am hoping to sell it so i can buy a darton bow so the archery Gods wont be mad at me, and my darton wont think i am cheating on her.

Of course you are not alone!
Here is a pic of my 08 Darton Assault Series AS 50 with a QAD LD, Fuse five pin Intrepid sight, BOCOMO Fat Sling, and a Posten Woodsman 1 Stabilizer on the way. I still need a peep and a quiver. I will probably get the Darton quiver to match. Oh and the release is a Carter two shot.
All I can say is this bow is awesome. This is my fist Darton and my old bow was a Browning dinosaur. Darton AS 50 is 31 3/8 Axle to Axle, 7.5 brace height, 80 percent let off, 4.1 lbs, IBO 310fps.
This bow is super quiet and super smooth. No shock no noise. This bow does not need a string suppressor in my opinion. I am still setting it up but even without a peep I am very happy with my groups. I like the fact that this bow is a small package for tight hunting.

If it just isnt the bow for you i can obviously understand now why all pse's are complete junk and if anyone doesn't understand just ask podunk
