Does anyone know if this is replaceable. Mine has some scratches and I would love to get a new one. Also what is the best way to back up the info.

I don't have a clue about a new face plate but, my assumption is that it will probably have to be sent back. Especially for water proofing.
I haven't done this yet with mine, but I did it with all my other electronic gadgets. At Staples and such, you can purchase a clear film that you can cut to size and place over the face. I just haven't got near Staples yet. Its just like putting auto window film/tint on. Just cut to size, get wet and apply using a squeege (credit card).
On my old Palm Pilot, which my great neice has now, I used it and it covered some scratches enough that you couldn't see them. Oh ya, I gave her that package of film covers to...............

If you are looking to replace the faceplate there's a cheaper solution. You can use rubbing compound and a wheel and make the existing faceplate look like new!:) Just be careful to keep the speed low and use plenty of compound. I've done 2 Ifinders this way and it works great!
