Well this has been a rough winter...ups and downs. I made it through my six day work week 10 deg monday 70 fri...crazy.:xzicon_sm
Anyway I have sun,mon off and i'd really like to give it at least one or two more trys.I've gained alot of knowledge from you fine folks since i've joined this site....
Sooo if you were to go out tomorrow where do you think is the safest ice...i know there is no "safe" ice but some areas are stronger than others.
I hit nine and jefferson after work and the coast guard just to see how the ice looked, and it didn't look good at all.
Some people on my route and couple old timers thought the best bets might be metro or cotton.
What do you guys think??? Or is it over?

Brandenbuurg was still pretty solid..but only dinks.. I fished from 7:00 am until 11:00 Just stay on the good side of the pressure crack to be safe :)
Side note...The Arctic Armor suit is waterproof! I found out first hand today during the rain and thunder! ;)

Hope uve got waders....
Fairhaven in the shallows would be the safest bet....maybe not the best fishing, but u wont drown when u go through.

:yeahthat:... with waders on, and never at a depth above the height of the waders, and never alone, and never without ice picks.

Fairhaven, Dont go to the public access though. Park the truck by Jiggers, Then walk to the building with the red roof, go threw the door and have a burger and a beer.:)
