I started tying this thing many years back and it originally started as a bass bait, but do to my lack of experience with deer hair the head kept getting smaller while trying to trim it to shape... :lol:
Well, I fished it anyway and found that it not only took bass, but the large gills loved it. The key is to keep the rubber legs only slightly longer than the hook. The gills suck on the legs and end up hooked.
On the strip it dives slightly and sits in the water with only the head being bouyant, which leaves a good portion underwater screaming EAT ME :evil:
