caught and released a big pike...fished from 9-12:30...saw lots of perch after moving twice....heres a vid of the release of the pike the vid of the actual catch and me reaching down the hole and eyeballin her out got botched :16suspect kept about 10 perch water clean enuf to make the dinks miss [6']

That pisses me off, if they cant burry it in thier backyard, or toss it into the garden, they still can put it into the trash. Dont dump it where ever they want. they've been doing this crap for years... i saw a pile like that years ago out on the ice from the sand bar restaurant.... i'm guessing they fillet them out on the ice or something because this was about .5 miles out.

I think the dnr could really narrow it down by the mess of fish their was their, not to many spots on the lake that produces that during this year.The person or persons whom did this probally have a bigger mess in their head.all my scraps go in the garbage in the winter and garden after a thaw . what a discrace.

Picked up a plastic shoping bag with fish remains in it after the fillets where taken off of them .Bag was on the ice at metro about a month ago.
What ticked me off the most was that the slob had to walk past the trash can to get on the ice.

Is it possible that those fish were caught in the ice after dying and got picked over by the birds pretty good.
As bad as somethings have gotten I find it hard to believe someone would dump all those ASSORTED species of fish guts.

...out of raft lot...checked ice and saw four other bikes so hoped it would be ok...my buddy went to pick up another angler and went thru in front of the sand bar...I promptly returned it to the trailer and walked back out...three of us caught 13 that we kept for a last supper...only 3 were over 8"...water was gin clear... Never saw any big fish...ice deteriated bad from noon until dark

Was there Yesterday, and saw in person the huge mess of guts. Very big perch and huge walleyes all full of eggs. They also left the unused minnows in a ziplock. I hope they catch em. The DNR said they may have been caught in Thames river or in Sag bay. anyways unbelievable. now for the report....took three wheeler out with no problem..ramp ice still good and ice is still good, 3 and 4 wheelers out there. Got 15 nice perch and one 7 lb. pike with tip-up. Threw back one 12-13 inch female. Kinda slow, but I'll take it. Water was clear in AM and got cloudy as the day went on. Quit at 2:30pm. Will be back out with 3 wheeler this week. Hopefully the ice will stay good for a little longer, as it can change very quick, be carefull. My bud is out there right now (monday) and ice is still ok. My bud brought out some big smoked crappie he caught last week, and smoked silver bass he got last spring, both were very good. Can't wait till the seagulls start dive bombing for minnows in the DR, there are always silvers pushing em up to the top. I have my Castmasters ready. seeya

:mad: Here's my take on it....

Seen this last year, in the same place (DNR launch in Fair Haven). I think these fish were caught through the ice on the Canadian side. I'd say out of St Luke’s, 2-3 miles out maybe?

I'd further speculate that this is a couple or a few older guys, who live in Fair Haven. Fifty or sixty something, one or more of them could be younger.

They might think this serves two fold....

One - think of what everyone will say when they see hundreds of large Perch & Walleye scraps. Where did "they" catch all these big fish? And.... these guys must be Fish Gods! ~ Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha ~ Not Funny!

Two - maybe they fish for catfish there during the night.... drinking beer, during the open water season? The scraps are on the ice.... & at the waters edge (brings catfish in to feed).

Either way it's a mess & an eye sore. Who knows how long they've been leaving this mess in this location? Seems like I've seen it for at least a few years now. Hope someone gets pop doing it next year.
