Buddy and I picked up bait at Bottomline and hit the bay at the crack of 10:30 am. Great minnow count. Picked up a fish pretty quick, then did a lot of moving. Saw a few fish being caught. Moved around until we got into a couple decent fish. Ended the day with 9, biggest was 11.5". Lost half dozen more. All caught on deadsticks and minnows. Biggest ones were about 1' under the ice in 5-6 FOW. Not great, but the best day so far. Unfortunately, the wind really did a number on the ice. It was well outside the bay when we started, and was inside the point when we left. Probably won't last through the weekend.

Good info to know. Haven't decoded weather were going to the cross dyke, bananadyke or saginaw bay tomorrow.
We will be in the airboat so it wont matter what the ice is like.

Did well between 9:45 and 1:30. When the schools moved thru, the action was hot and heavy! Ended up with 22 between 8-12 inches. Some places i fished had 12 inches of ice and others had 7in. Probably hit it one more time and it will be time to start on the boat.

Wow, lost a lot overnight, we had at least 14" everywhere we went yesterday. Not likely to be back out this weekend, unless I cast from the docks. Probably spend the time prepping the boat.
