weeds or sand?

so am heading out tomorrow some where between sang and the salt! so this time of the year is it better to be in the sand or the weeds? hopefully i can do better than the last few times i went out!

Fish the weed line in the sand. Fish are cruisin the edge.

Ive always went by, find the weeds you find the fish. Seems to hold true...

Unless your in the salt river area or cotton rd. You have to take a walk to get outside the weeds the last couple years.

Perch string there eggs on weeds, timber, whatever they can find. They don't like to lay eggs on bare bottom or let them drift. So if you find structure even if it's weeds laying on the bottom you will find them. In fact last time I was out It was an absolute must to keep your jig right on the bottom. Then I could entice them to follow me up a foot or 2 and those that followed got caught. It's kinda fun to watch on my 522.
