Myself and one other MSF member are headed that way on Friday; staying until Sunday. We are staying at Dusty's place and fishing the islands. There is room for one (possibly two) more guys (or girls) in the apartment. It would be great if we could get a group of MSF members together on this trip and come back with a few nice fish.

Send me a PM if you are interested. All going must have there own gear and quad.

Dave

Been -20c last 3 nights so that stuff isnt going any where for a while just thought i would let you no you could leave the quads home and save a little bit of hassle. plus the clerk said the have had a few thefts lately so in you do bring your machine be cautious!! good luck and tight lines

At least an unbrella. I don't care as long as the wind stays down, I'll be cozy warm listening to the radio in my shanty (hopefully catching a few pigs).

Came back from Simcoe yesterday . Was not too impressed with the size of the perch. caught thirty Weds. yesterday 39. I did have a huge whitefish on lost it at the hole. It was about 10 pounds . They were catching alot of whities at Snake island but we got out too late for the early bite. But first time out there so I learned alot and where to go instead of runnin around. next time I`m gonna know So good luck to all and oh there is about 22 to 25 inches of ice .They were driving full size vans and pickups too .So you don`t even need a quad.:fish2::fish2::fish2::fish2::fish2::fish2:

I do not claim to be a expert, but i suggest not driving a vehicle on the ice, especilly with rain/warm weather and the calendar saying MARCH, just my thoughts - Play Safe:smile-mad

Got 300 perch for the 3 of us. All 9-13 inchers and I got one 15.5 incher that I will mount. The best thing was there were no dinks. I only threw back 3 perch all weekend and those where 7 inchers. We fished 45ft of water the whole time. He then went white fishing and caught 1 each.

I took my quad but there where trucks everywhere... And I mean big full size dualies. Weather was great, 45 degrees and no wind, little rain saturday afternoon. Sunday was sunny.... Had a blast for an ice out trip
