I am considering getting this as my next rest. What are the pros and cons? Does anyone have experience with this rest?

Thanks

Used one all last year.Had it lasered in and had fletching contact trouble. Took alot of knock tweeking.Every now and then one would kick arrow out, cause the fletching would hit the bristles. brushes need replaced 500 shots or so. got a drop away for this season

Save your money, buy a whisker biscuit or a QAD drop away, I have them for $45.00. The bristles don't last, I haven't had fletching contact by turning the nock.

The pro is that it's full containment. The con is that there have been many many reports of the bottom brush prematurely wearing. Personally, after trying one I remained a WB shooter.;)

I guess they fixed the brush wear issue. They were replacing the old with the new for free at the ATA show. Nice rest if your looking for full containment.

We tested these extensively last season on about 4 different bows and the brush is a real issue. They did come out with a new bottom brush, but I have heard they are still having some issues with it. I went with a rip cord full containment drop away rest and love it.

As was mentioned...The brushes wear out fast....
I was looking at getting one as well but everyone I mentioned it to kinda cringed and mentioned the whole brush issue and some other various issues....
I'm decided on the whisker biscuit......

How did you have fletching contact on a hostage? The only advantage over teh whisker biscuit is the fact that there ISN'T fletching contact.

If the bristles are the problem how come Trophy ridge hasn't come out with their own version with WB bristles? The whisker biscuit is a good rest, no doubt, but the idea behind the hostage is even better. If They made a biscuit like the hostage, but the bristles actually held up, they would sell tons.

Ended up adjusting the knock so the fletching up, was just barely above the top of the brush on right side, cause the bottom right fletching was hitting bottom of that brush.

If your fletchings are canted in any way then they will come in contact with the bristels. I had this problem also so i re fletched my arrows so that they are strait and the problem went away. I also had problems with the bristels wearing out so im looking at getting the newer ones cus the bristels are different/herder materal. but all in all im thinking ill stick with em. Good product.

I currently have one keep your fletchings clearing and you can get replacement brushes for 14 bucks which should last an easy 2 years if you shoot often the bottom one wears out but replace when it go's bad and the brushes come in a 3 pack i enjoy this rest more than a drop away its almost like a whisker biscuit on steroids. If they fixed the brushes then there are not any disadvantages i can see
