an ice fishing weekend

we are going ice fishing, or fishing though the ice from a dock;) , this weekend. By the looks of it, there should be alot out on the ice. Who else is going this weekend on the ice? just wondering

im going this weekend if not before. these cold nights have made the shallow lakes safe around here. just a matter of picking up some waxworms and a few minnows. aint nothing like the first outing and first bite of the season!

I'll be hitting the pond next to the house as an excuse the gather up the equipment. I walked around on the ice Tuesday evening - seemed pretty solid then.

Well that winter itch has gotten the best of me, I'm going to go up and give a liitle lake up north of Reed City a try for some bluegill with my son this afternoon. I will post a report later.
