Steve, I could see ice back there on Thanksgiving day. I knew it wouldn't be long till someone ventured.

I used to venture onto Narrow Lake quite a bit with my father in law. Used to spend most of the time at the Springport bar.... :D

I am surprized it took this long. With the temps we have had I was expecting by the end of deer season.

Well Freepop I hope not! The typical Springport bar goes is usually missing all their teeth--just kidding. We usually met up with the racing teams after the races. It is such a hole in the wall, but where else can you go for a beer and room. A true saloon.

Hotel. Mighty fine place. Actually when MIS is going the Firestone reps drive all the way up there bringing whoever wanted to be wined and dined in Springport fasion. So they still go. One of the main guys has a cottage on Duck Lake and we hook up with them. The Ford Camel Team is tied with Firestone too, and they all show every year to watch MIS and crash at this guys cottage. Last year I would order a jack and coke, and the waitress would send a pitcher of it. I was in way over my head...
