I'm trying to find a GPS for my father. I am constantly asked for a nice one...

When i search online, i found this deal - Magellan Maestro 3200 Automobile Navigator (http://www.dealstudio.com/deallink.php?deal_id=168709&ru=290), it really looks great for that price ($60), but not sure if Magellan works great just like Garmin...

So does anyone have any experience on it? How does it work?

As a Garmin and Lowrance dealer I would say avoid Megellan. We used to carry them but don't any longer because of warranty issues we've experienced.

As a Garmin USER I user to say avoid Magellan. PM sent.

Magellan=Junk! I have owned(tried) 3 of them over the years and not one of them was worth a darn! All of them went back to the store after failing to lock onto or keep a satellite fix. I have two friends that have had the same experiences.

Ive got a Garmin Nuvi 200w for the car its great. I got it on sale at cabellas for 159.00. This is the low end model and works fantastic . I can only imagine how the top end models are . I also have a Lowrance finder pro for the woods and I hate it. I cant get it to dial in on a spot less than about 400 foot.

I can beat that price by quite a bit for the 200W. Shipped to your door. Shoot me a PM if you're intersted.
