I was fishing just north of that point approx. 1/2 mile, fished it Sunday am (only 2) & Mon am (few hits no takers). Did not see many out there pretty quiet with people. We moved once 1/2 to 3/4 mile east, drilled bad ice of about 5" & blew out of there, got back to comfortable 12"+ ice and caught 12. Did better that area last week. Bad ice 43 43 775 , 83 50 167

You would be better off at those 1st coordinates, if not just north of them. I would stay away from that high flowing channel.

I was at those #s on sunday and had people set up close enough to me that I had a flashback from tippy dam fishing days (synchronized casting) 8 - 10inches where I drilled , saw a few fish all lookers. There was some current though you could poof a jig and watch the debris drift away... this could prove to be a spot to avoid in the coming days

3 miles about 1 hr. with light shanty and is it a safe walk..or will i get ran over...hopefully not as much snow as predicted..and is auger needed..or just spud... We'll see with this snow coming. With six to eight inches of wet snow I bet you are going to need to add another hour and a half to that estimate. Clocked it tonight and it took us 11 minutes from three miles out. We ran all the way. Ran 40 miles an hour that is. I'd take the auger.

Well you definetly dont need an auger there is hundreds of holes in that area just open them up , After this snow you need to be extra cautious so you dont step in any old holes or park on them. Im not saying fish are jumping out of the holes into your buckets but theres good concentration of fish in that AREA. I wouldnt go to the exact holes on them coordinates unless you like combat fishing .
