Dumb question from a rookie but....does everyone usually shoot a turkey??? I wouldn't mind getting in on the fun but I don't want to join a team if I am going to get harassed after my first season:lol:

Not everyone on a team kills a turkey. In fact last year there was only one team, which happens to be the winning team to harvest all 6 birds.

You may get harassed by fellow members of your team and other guys in the contest but its all in good fun.

Dont be worried about joining a team, Im sure that you will have a great time.

I am looking for a team if anyone has a spot available. Probably be using shotgun.

I hunt 3 or 4 days a week in the 234 hunt and have gotten my bird the last 4 years running. 1 CBM bird and 2 of the others were long beards. Last year I took a jake in self defense. I always wanted a jake fan any way.
Hopefully someone will be kind enough to pick up my option. I hunt private land (about 8 farms) in southern Michigan. Love the run and gun approach.

I'de love to get on a team. I'll be hunting with a shotgun on private land in clinton county. Talked to the farmer a couple times in the last few weeks, claims there are quite a few big boys out there including a monster double beard.

Because it is easier to do it this way.

Besides that, it makes the contest more fun if you can be on a team with your buddies.

If you cannot find a team I said I would help find teams, but Im not assigning teams.
