Would someone be so kind to pass along how the ice held up to the thaw?

My Parents live on the lake and when I called them yesterday my Mom said she seen a truck out there a day or two before.

My son and I ran and gunned today. Drilled about twenty five holes. Ice thickness ran from eight to sixteen inches. This was measured, not guessed at.
If you are taking a truck out, watch out for wide spaces where shanties may have been. After the rain and the run off into some of the holes, I have seen six inch auger holes turned into two foot holes. The lake has thawed and refroze, and some of the hole markers have sunk.
Be careful.
The fishing seems to be in a three day cycle. One good day, with two poor days folling.
Good fishing.
