Hello all I'm new here:D:D. Anyone have any word on ice conditions in any of these counties??? I've checked Klinger and a few other lakes in St. joe with no good news. Was hoping to get out this weekend so any input would be greatly appreciated. I have done pretty good on Klinger this year would love to get back out there, hoping will lock back up this weekend :corkysm55:corkysm55:corkysm55

Where have you been fishing on Klinger? And for what?
Also, I went out on Cedar today, you can get on fine from the access with a small plank. Caught gills slow in 6-8 FOW. Heard of some sucess on Portage straight out from Klines in 22FOW, but thats got a really bad shoreline, bring a 2 x 12. Good luck.

Fishfreak, you could give Long Lake in Union a try. I checked it out yesterday and you can still get out on it. The ice is still about 6" on most of the lake, but a little sketchy at the launch. It's not unsafe though as a few buddies brought out shanties and tons of gear with no problems. Last ice on that lake is killer if you can locate the fish. I would have to say that lakes holds some of the biggest gills you will find in this area.

Yes Klinger does hold big fish thats why I like to fish it but never made it on the ice this year.I like Aldrich just south of there just as well.

I'm going to go check it out tommorrow I'll let you know what I find.I also heard of guys pulling limits out of Prairie. They said they were all nice gills. They also got a 36 inch pike out there.I may have to check that one out also.

Got on Klinger today didnt do very well though,a bunch of dinks. A freind caught a couple nice gills.I Had a nice pike on my crappie rig but he broke me off at the hole, couldnt get him turned. The ice was actually in pretty good shape except for about two feet from shore, the rest had about eight inches.
