Could some please give me an ice report on Croton or Hardy Dam?

Sunday Big bend area we had 10-12" of black ice. 10 guys out for 5 hours and 1 small perch caught.

guys were out there tonight, Ice looked decent, some spots opened up close to the dam, but bring creepers for the tourney this weekend

Damn to Damn ice fishing contest. This is to benefit big brothers and big sisters. This is the 3rd year for it now. Tony Gates and the croton and hardy businesses run the contest. Weigh-ins are at 3:30 pm at the Croton Post in croton. Have to enter by 10 am the day of the contest. There is usually 400-600 people out there for this event.

tonight, yeah the ice was slippery. even creepers were slippery. but anyway, i went out. iced up 2 walleyes. marked some fish. nothing bitin too hard though. those waldos came just before dark, like usual those waldos are always waiting till the last chance to party ya know. one 15" and one 12", little dinks. ill be back out maybe this weekend and post up what happened.

Any more information on the tourney, cost, type of fish, location. I have been wanting to try the river for years, and this seems like a good excuse. Where is the easiest access points. Looks like walking ice conditions, so I would like to find a spot that won't take a half a day to walk to!

Measured today for another member. Croton Twnship park...10", upstream...6"-7". It is gonna be sliperrrry when the temp drops.

Who is all going out for this? Any current ice reports? I've never been up there but heard this is alot of fun.

I was up there yesterday on Hardy and there was plenty of ice. There was a good 7-10 inches of ice.
