I have been pickin pike and eyes outta of it. I don't even bother with the perch this year, small dinks. We have a home on the lake and we are up there about every weekend. The snow is off the lake and now you can actually see on the camera now LOL!

Van Etten has been flat out TERRIBLE this year by all I have spoke with who have fished it.
We might be losing the shore ice because of the rain. Not sure. The lake rises and fall with the thaws we have which causes the shore ice to break away.
There are some other areas around the Au Sables back basins that have down very well on gills. Nice ones too.;)

Not really terrible, yes the perch and smaller fish have disappeared somewhere LOL! But this year has been the better year for me with the pike and especially the walleye. You just gotta do your homework to find em. :) headed back up tommorrow night, might need some big boots/waders to get on the ice by then, but its worth it.
