I want to set up somewhere just for pike! I dont care about size or keeping them, I just want to have some fun catching them on my tip-up or with a lure. I heard go on the east side of Lake Muskegon for pike. I was wondering if anyone else knew of some good spots in or around Holland/Muskegon area! Thanks for your time!

If you want to go just a little ways Silver lake in Mears/Hart is loaded with pike and there is no size limit on them............

Tamarack Lake in Lakeview has a lot of nice pike.

I think I will try Silver Lake sometime! Ive never fished there but used to drive by all the time for work (on my way to deliver at Appletree auto). What about time of day? Anytime, or is it best right before dark?

Anytime is fishable, I landed one this year at midnight. I'd say noon-sunset is a good bet.

Try Bass Lk near Trufant/Gowan. Last I knew, DNR removed size limit to get rid of all the hammer-handles and overpopulation(don't take my word though, check current regs!)

The east end on Muskegon has been pretty slow lately. You might try Big Blue Lake in northern Muskegon, it is LOADED with small pike. The narrow's on White Lake are normally pretty good also.

I do pretty good on Muskegon Lake for pike, mostly caught on tip-ups. I look for weedbeds, the bigger the better. Combine this with deep water nearby and you're in business. Fish the outside edges, setting the minnow about half way down. Watch the ice on east end of Muskegon Lake as it is the first to go with a warm up. Good luck
